Ona Burns Obituary
Funeral services for Ona Lee Gibbons Burns, 89, will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A burial will follow the service at Rondo Cemetery, 6211 CR-125, Texarkana, Arkansas. A visitation will be held September 6, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Sammy Maranto and Brother Tim Zoltowski.
OnaLee was born March 25, 1934 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Cheslie Lynn Gibbons and Edith Irene Gibbons and passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She loved all and all loved her. OnaLee was admired for her forgiving heart and endless love.
She is preceded in death by her loving father and mother, son, Terry Eugene Dempsey and her brother, Tandy Fred Gibbons. Her memory is survived by her son, James “Denny” Dempsey and wife, Pam; daughter, Vicki Tallant and husband, Ronnie; brother, James Gibbons; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
