Ona Bell Etchison Todd

A graveside service honoring Ona Bell Etchison Todd will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Kimball Bend Cemetery, located at 2928 Texas 174, Kopperl, TX 76652. This gathering will celebrate the wonderful life Ona led and the everlasting love she shared with all. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered for her love of life and unwavering devotion to her family.

Ona, a cherished member of the community and a devoted family matriarch, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Kopperl, Texas. Born on September 9, 1945, in Meridian, Texas, Ona left behind a rich legacy filled with love, dedication, and a passionate spirit.

 Ona achieved a rewarding career as a seamstress at Walls before retiring, She was known for her meticulous craftsmanship and her ability to bring joy to others through her creations.

 Ona was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Church in Rio Vista, where she served her Lord faithfully. Her faith was central to her life and was a guiding light for her family and friends. Ona had a delightful passion for music, particularly her beloved guitar, which she played with joy and enthusiasm.

 A dedicated mother and grandmother, Ona took immense pride in caring for her family. She is survived by her spouse, Melvin Todd; her children, Donna Lynn Barker and David Barker; and her grandchildren: Cassi Lynn Kasparek, Preston Dean Kasparek, Kenneth Barker, Joseph Barker, Kristin Perkins, Chase Lacey, Lauren Lacey, Ellen Don, Melin, as well as numerous family members that she held dear to her heart.

 Ona is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Etchison and Altha Cummings, and her son, Billy Barker.
