Onalee K. Hoffman, 87, of Medford, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Homeplace in Dorchester, WI, under Hope Hospice, surrounded by family.
A memorial service for Onalee will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Medford, with Pastor Mike Barnhart officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. Visitation will take place at the First Baptist Church on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Onalee was born on October 10, 1938 to Hubert and Olive (Powell) Hill in Holly, MI. She was raised in Holly and married Gerald Hoffman on June 16, 1956 on her family's farm in Fenton. Onalee and Gerald took over the family farm and raised 6 children. The family moved to Wisconsin in 1975 and farmed in Unity. Later they moved to Athens, WI and continued to farm. While working on the farm, she also worked for Figi's, Athens Bank, and Security Health Plan.
Onalee's Christian faith was strong and she instilled those values in her children. She adored and spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and watching the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She was well known for her wonderful cookies that she loved to share with others.
Onalee is survived by her children, Howard (Deb) Hoffman of Marshfield, Sarah (Randy) Gregory of Spencer, Lynn (Richard) Hamland of Medford, Gerald Jr. (Linda) Hoffman of Buffalo, MN, and Richard (Angie) Hoffman of Waukesha; 26 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diana Lee and Pam (Charles) Koan. Onalee is further survived by cousins and other family and friends.
Onalee was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Olive; husband Gerald Sr; daughter, Gerriann von Besser; grandson, Christopher Ladwig; sister, Janet Plew; brother-in-law, Jeff Lee.
Onalee's family would like to thank Hope Hospice; caregivers, Tracy Beckstrand, Laura Ludwig, and Brook Wesle for their loving care and the caregivers at the Homeplace.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Onalee's name may be given to Hope Hospice.
