Obituary of Onesimo Flavio Nieto Gonzalez
Onesimo Flavio Nieto Gonzalez, 52, of Freehold Borough passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune on Monday, October 8, 2025. He was born and raised in Mesones Hidalgo Putla de Guerrero Oaxaca before immigrating to the United States in 2000 where he settled in Freehold Borough. One of Onesimo's proudest accomplishments was immigrating to the United States from Mexico to provide a better life for his family. He was proud of his Mexican heritage and always shared his culture with those around him. Onesimo worked tirelessly as a car wash attendant at 33 Car Wash in Freehold and Old Bridge for over 25 years. One of Onesimo's greatest joys in life was spending time with his granddaughters, whom he affectionately referred to as Pony and Teta. He loved taking them to their favorite Deli, Kim-All-Grill and Deli. Onesimo enjoyed gardening and was known for growing fresh vegetables and gladiola flowers. He also had a passion for listening to music and watching action movies.
Onesimo is survived by his wife, Victoria Ramirez Vasquez of Freehold Borough; three children, Yenni Nieto Ramirez and her husband, Arturo Xochihuila of Freehold Borough, Yvette Nieto of Freehold Borough and Onesimo Nieto, Jr of Freehold Borough; three granddaughters, Sherlyn Xochihuila Nieto, Victoria Xochihuila Nieto and Allison Xochihuila Nieto; mother, Rogelia Gonzalez Martinez; siblings, Catalina Marcelino Gonzalez and her husband, Anastacio Noyola Lugos, Consuelo Gonzalez, Yolanda Gonzalez, Rocio Gonzalez, Esperanza Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 Mc Lean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.

Onesimo Flavio Nieto González, de 52 años, residente de Freehold Borough, falleció en el Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, el lunes 8 de octubre de 2025. Nació y creció en Mesones Hidalgo, Putla de Guerrero, Oaxaca, antes de inmigrar a los Estados Unidos en el año 2000, donde se estableció en Freehold Borough. Uno de los logros de los que Onesimo se sentía más orgulloso fue haber inmigrado a Estados Unidos desde México para ofrecer una vida mejor a su familia. Estaba orgulloso de su herencia mexicana y siempre compartía su cultura con quienes lo rodeaban. Onesimo trabajó incansablemente como asistente en el lavado de autos 33 Car Wash en Freehold y Old Bridge por más de 25 años. Una de las mayores alegrías de Onesimo era pasar tiempo con sus nietas, a quienes cariñosamente llamaba Pony y Teta. Le encantaba llevarlas a su deli favorito, Kim-All-Grill and Deli. Onesimo disfrutaba de la jardinería y era conocido por cultivar verduras frescas y flores de gladiola. También tenía una pasión por escuchar música y ver películas de acción.
Onesimo deja a su esposa, Victoria Ramírez Vásquez de Freehold Borough; tres hijos, Yenni Nieto Ramírez y su esposo, Arturo Xochihuila de Freehold Borough, Yvette Nieto de Freehold Borough y Onesimo Nieto, Jr. de Freehold Borough; tres nietas, Sherlyn Xochihuila Nieto, Victoria Xochihuila Nieto y Allsion Xochihuila Nieto; su madre, Rogelica González Martínez; hermanos, Catalina Marcelino González y su esposo, Anastacio Noyola Lugos, Consuelo González, Yolanda González, Rocío González, Esperanza González.
El velatorio se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Clayton & McGirr, ubicada en 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Ruta 524), municipio de Freehold, el lunes 13 de octubre de 2025, de 17:00 a 21:00 h. Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir a la misa funeral a las 10:30 h del martes 14 de octubre de 2025 en la Iglesia de Santa Rosa de Lima, ubicada en 16 Mc Lean Street, Freehold. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de Santa Rosa de Lima, ubicado en 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, municipio de Freehold.
