Opal Bittenbender Obituary
Services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will greet friends 1:00pm prior to services.
Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
Opal was born Thursday, August 27, 1936, in Douglas County, Kansas, the daughter of Charlie and Viola May (Anderson) Dyer.
She was a lifelong Franklin County resident.
Opal was united in marriage on June 1, 1960, in Miami Oklahoma to Roscoe V. Bittenbender. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2019.
She was a waitress in the Ottawa area for several years before retiring on February 23, 2000.
Opal was a dedicated Christian and a member of the Community Foursquare Chapel in Ottawa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roscoe.
Survivors include her sister Ruby Sellens of Ottawa, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
