Opal Jane Duncan,
80, of Radford, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday,
September 30th, 2025 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
She was co-owner
and worked sales at Dempsey's Jewelers in Radford prior to retirement. She was
an avid animal lover and she and her husband enjoyed antiques and their loving
dogs.
She was preceded in
death by her loving husband, Dempsey Duncan; parents, Lincoln and Audrey
Duncan; sister, Sylvia Cox; father-and-mother-in-law, Martin and Minnie Duncan;
brothers-in-law, Robert Duncan, John Duncan, Leo Duncan, Stanley
Duncan, Archie Cox, Wilkie Cox; and nephew,
John Cox.
Surviving are sons,
Don Duncan and wife Tracie, of Christiansburg, Ron Duncan and wife Sherry, of
Christiansburg; grandsons, Jared Boone, of Chicago, Elijah Duncan, of
Christiansburg, and Isaac Duncan, of Radford; brother, Roger Duncan, of
Christiansburg; sister, Doris Cox, of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Connie
Duncan, of Radford; nephews, Tom Cox, Robert Duncan Jr., David Duncan, and
Richard Duncan; nieces Kathy Beale, Anita Ferguson, Cathy Hines and Barbara
Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,
October 3, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig Reed and
Rev. James Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the White Rock
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior
to the service at the funeral home.

this difficult time.
We would also like
to extend our sincere appreciation for the awesome care and love given to Opal
during her stay at Skyline Nursing and Rehab Center in Floyd... you folks are
awesome!!!
