Opal "Marie" Frazier, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. Marie was born in Turney, Missouri, on July 24, 1940, to Hessie and Opal (Smith) Nicholson.
She attended Lathrop High School, where her journey through life began to take shape.

In 1956, she met the love of her life, Leroy Frazier, at the YMCA Teen Town in Cameron, Missouri. They were united in marriage on June 1, 1957, and shared over 69 years of loving and devoted marriage. Throughout their life together, Marie and Leroy cared for one another deeply-Leroy lovingly cared for her throughout her lengthy illness. Together, they helped raise their nephew Shane playing an important role in their lives and adored niece Nicole. Marie worked at Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Missouri, for several years. She also spent time working at the Toy Factory in Braymer, Missouri, and at the local beauty salon. For many years, she and Leroy owned and operated Leroy's Market in Braymer, where they became a beloved part of the community. Marie was known for her immaculate home, and she had a deep love for flowers and birds. Marie and Leroy were active members of the Braymer United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully as the church bookkeeper for 32 years and as the supervisor of social events. She was also a dedicated member of PEO Chapter Q Sisterhood, where she served as President and graciously opened her home on many occasions to host special meetings.

She is survived by her devoted husband Leroy; nephew Shane and wife Karrie Frazier and their son Riley of Oak Grove, MO; brother-in-law Donnie Frazier and family: Steve Frazier and sons
Dusty, Hunter, Trapper, and Colt of Braymer, MO; Troy Frazier and children Justin, Tyler, and Isabel; Jeff and Brandi Frazier and children Kaitlyn, Dereck, Chloe, Piper, and Barret of
Springfield, MO. She is also survived by sister-in-law Sue Carter, her son Jason and granddaughter Lala of Independence, MO; and beloved niece Nicole and husband Virgil Brett
and their children Emery, Avery, and Blake of Braymer, MO. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene and Glen Nicholson; nephew Todd Davis; and several cousins.
Marie will be dearly missed by all who knew her-but we rejoice knowing she is now at peace in the loving arms of Christ Jesus.
