Pride Willis - age 65 of Lathrop, MO passed away Thursday evening, July 31, 2025 at his home in Lathrop. Pride was born on October 11, 1959, in Richmond, MO, the son of Jack and Christine (Sportsman) Willis. He was a graduate of Lathrop High School and married the love of his life, Jackie Lee (Beal) Willis, on August 11, 1979, in Cameron, MO.

Pride worked as a mechanic, a laborer at the Caves and in construction. He was known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything. Outside of work, he found joy in the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and especially mushroom hunting were among his favorite pastimes. He also had a passion for working on small motors and creating handcrafted canes and furniture through woodworking. Pride was known for his strength, steady presence, and kind heart. He was always there during life's challenges and milestones, offering love and support to those around him. His bighearted nature and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pride was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jackie Willis; and sister, Sonja Willis. He is survived by children, Judy Willis (Jason Johnson) of Hamilton, MO, Patty Bowman (Bob) of Cowgill, MO, Sonja Hopping (Ben Bolling) of Polo, MO, Pride Willis II (Sammie) of Birch Tree, MO, and Shawn Willis (Heather Jesse) of Lathrop, MO; twenty-two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Willis (Leona) of Linneus, MO and Bryan Willis of Excelsior Springs, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Stith Funeral Home to help with final expenses in care of the funeral home. The family will host a celebration of life beginning at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, at the Gospel Christian Center in Cowgill, MO.
