OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA

Oak Grove, Louisiana

Funeral services for Opal Lucille Harris, age 85, of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin Townsend officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Elward Harris Sr.; parents, Joe Presley Clark and Pearley Beatrice Seward Clark; four grandchildren, Dustin Misner, Jeslyn Harris, Kaitlyn Harris, Madison Harris; great grandchild, Kailynn Henrichs; three brothers, J. P. Clark, Roy Clark, Melvin Clark; five sisters, Helen Clark, Murl Peoples, Geneva Barrett, Ruby Bernice Clark, Ruby Mae Clark.

Lucille was a member of the Church of God of Oak Grove, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She use to work at the Goodwill School in Goodwill Community, Where she was known as the Lunch Lady. Lucille was owner and operator of the Old Town Gas and Go in Oak Grove, LA, where she loved to serve meals and meet people.

Lucille is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Andrew Williams of Austin, Arkansas; son, William Harris Jr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and April Harris of Portland, Texas; eight grandchildren, Austin Harris, Matthew Harris, Patrick Harris, Timothy Schroeder, Taylor Williams (Chelsea), Emily Harris, Samatha Harris, Amber Lewis (Tanner); four great grandchildren, Trevor Williams, Kullen Henrichs, Addi Lewis, Hadley Williams; Melody Harris; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Pam Clark of Oak Grove, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Schroeder, Patrick Harris, Matthew Harris, Austin Harris, Taylor Williams, Moses Craft.
