Opal M. Jackson

Opal M. Jackson, 98, of Warsaw, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in Paddock Springs of Warsaw, IN.
Opal was born to Leroy and Fern (Heckaman) Poulson on August 15, 1927 in Bremen, IN. She married Vernon Jackson on August 3, 1944 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2009. She worked for Biomet, Inc. for 25 years in the soft goods department. She attended Goshen Grace Community Church and was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She resided at Paddock Springs of Warsaw for over 5 years. She enjoyed cooking for family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Opal is survived by her daughters: Diane (David) Rensberger of Syracuse, IN; Brenda Lawmaster of Ft. Myers, FL; her 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Fern Poulson; her husband, Vernon Jackson; and her brothers: Richard Poulson; and Donald Poulson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home (115 S. Main St., Bourbon, IN).
A funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Shutske officiating.
The burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Bourbon, IN).
Memorial donations may be made in Opal's honor to the Marshall County Humane Society (P.O. Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563).
