Opal Frances "Fran" Kubinski passed into eternal life on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Fran was born in Centralia, Missouri on May 4th, 1933 to Thomas Lesley and Effie Pearl Sheridan. She was one of 9 children. Fran moved to Albuquerque in 1963 with her husband Hillas Jones (deceased) and two children. Fran was married to Ralph Kubinski until his death in 2017. While she was divorced from Hillas, they remained the closest of friends. She and Ralph ran Jones Surplus Barn when Hillas became too ill to run the business and passed away in 1983. They had many enduring friendships that were cultivated through the business.
Fran is survived by her two children, Rebecca Leuer (Mark) and Daniel Jones (Angela); Grandchildren Jeremy Tanner (Kristen) and Cynthia Magee (Casey); Step Grandchildren Jason Leuer, Jared Leuer and Paige Leuer; Great Grandchildren Emi Elmquist, Kennedy Tanner, Kassidy Tanner, Joel Magee, Mason Magee; Step Great Grandchildren Aspen Leuer, Sage Leuer; Sisters Delores Dodge, Ruth Retheford and various Nieces and Nephews.
Fran lived a great life and was loved by many many people. She is no longer in pain and is with our Heavenly Father and the many friends and family that went before her.
