Opal Ingram Parker, age 81, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025. She was born on July 9, 1944, in Nelson, Georgia, to the late Elmer and Bonnel Ingram.
Her favorite hobby was shopping but what she cherished most was the season of Christmas. She dearly loved all her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she faithfully supported by attending every event they participated in. She was also a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan and took pride in cheering on her team.
Opal was a loving, kind, and gentle lady whose warmth, devotion, and quiet strength touched many lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faithfulness, and family, and her memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Penny Denese Parker; granddaughter, Nikki Jennette; granddaughter in law, Felicia Jennette; siblings, James Leon Ingram and Lucy Marie Ingram; and nephew, Robbie Ingram.
Survivors include her husband of over 62 years, Roger D. Parker; daughter, Tammy Parker Sloan (David); grandchildren, Nathan Jennette, Brandi Dickens (Casey), and KJ; great-grandchildren, Logan Jennette, Hailey Jennette, Lielah Blair, Braedon Marhsall and Maddox Dickens; niece, Tracy Vance; great-nephew, Jason Vance; great-niece, Cori Watkins (Rob); great-great nephew, Bently Watkins; great-great nieces, Mickinley Watkins and Emeline Watkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Banks Brazell officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
