Opal Louise (Chumbler) Roberts
December 6, 1956 – July 22, 2025
Opal Louise Roberts, 68, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2025. Born on December 6, 1956, in Gainesville, Georgia, Opal spent most of her life in Flowery Branch, surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Roberts; her children, Tammy Martin and Timothy Roberts (Christa); her grandchildren, Brittany Patton (Austin), Natalie Roberts, Jacob English, Hannah Roberts, Gabriel Roberts, Cody Martin, and Kaden Martin; and her great-grandchildren, Madyson Patton, Cooper Patton, Ellie Jane Stevens, Mason Patton, Olivia Patton, and Willow Patton, sisters Laura Gee, Pamela Robinson (Terry) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine "Sue" Bailey Long and her father, Archer Randall Chumbler and daughter, Jennifer Leigh Roberts.
Opal will be remembered for her unconditional love and the way she made people feel welcome and safe. Even during life's challenges, she remained strong and steadfast, offering support and kindness to those around her.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Deidrick Overby will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
