Keith Weikle, age 96 of Bogart, Georgia passed away on October 1, 2025. Keith was born in Marfrance, West Virginia. He loved West Virginia and returned there often. Keith played baseball and football in high school, but his true love was baseball. He enlisted in the armed forces in 1946 and was honorably discharged on July 13, 1949. He played ping pong and baseball during his service in Korea – twice being chosen for an all-Korean baseball team. After military service, Keith went to Bethany College. Keith married his high school sweetheart, Inez Huffman, in 1951. Together they raised four children and were married 65 wonderful years before Inez passed away in 2017. Professionally, Keith worked in the finance and banking fields in 1951 and eventually became Vice President at C&S Bank in Atlanta. In 1975 he left the banking industry and acquired his own business, retiring at 75 years old. Keith loved the Lord and served as a deacon at Snellville Christian Church. He was absolutely devoted to his wife and was a loving, generous father. He enjoyed family, traveling and gardening. Keith enjoyed "his" Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and was an avid golfer. Keith was a great storyteller and enjoyed talking to friends and strangers alike. Keith is survived by his four children, Denise Hill, Kim Shoemaker (Ronnie), Tammie Sosebee (Al), and Scott Weikle (June); and his sister, Janice Jensen. Keith and Inez had ten grandchildren – he got the baseball team he always wanted – 1 girl and 9 boys. There are 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family would like to thank the caretakers and other staff at The Landing Senior Living in Bogart for their loving care of their father / grandfather. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, https://give.michaeljfox.org/give/421686/#!/donation/checkout or to The Alzheimer's Association, https://donorservices.alz.org/page/FUNXAHXKQNE . A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating.
