Oren Scott Warner, 71, of Ammon, passed away September 15, 2025, at his home.
Scott was born March 15, 1954, in Pocatello, ID, to Chester Lawrence Warner and Erla Mae Shurtliff Warner. He grew up and attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1972. He also attended Idaho State University and was extremely active in the Musical theater program. He had a beautiful tenor voice and participated in many musicals in high school and college.
On July 21, 1978, he married Corey Johnson in the Idaho Falls Temple. Scott and Corey lived in Pocatello and Nampa, but spent most of their married life in Ammon, Idaho, where Scott worked as a credit manager for The JR Simplot Company for over 30 years. Most recently, he enjoyed being a non medical emergency transportation specialist for A to B Transport.
He was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.
Scott is survived by his wife, Corey Warner of Ammon, ID; daughters, Natalie (Justin) Wheeler of Pullman, WA, Nikki (Brandon) Shortman of Blackfoot, ID, Whitney Warner of Ammon, ID; 11 grandchildren; Makenzie, Destiny, Madison, Jaxon, Kenshin, Katana, Macy, Emma, Emry, Bob, and Tom. He is also survived by his father, Chet Warner; sisters, Terri (Rob) Underberg, and Wendy Jones; along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other family members who will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Erla Mae Warner; his grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Ammon 3rd Ward, 2150 Avocet Drive, with Bishop Darren Davis officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
