Orpah Gail Lanham, 79, passed away peacefully, August 21, 2025, with her family by her side, after a sudden illness. Born on August 1, 1946, to Sterling Monroe Howard and Ethel Juanita Ward Howard, she was a lifelong resident of the Cartersville, GA . Gail was a woman of faith and was a member of the David Street Church of God.

She retired in 2017, after many years of service at Ingles, Cartersville. After retiring she adopted 2 yorkies, Ellie and Nova, which brought so much joy to her life. She loved to bake cakes, cook and spending time with family and friends. She was loving and caring to everyone she met and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Lanham, her parents, two brothers, John William and James Lamar, two sisters, Rosemond Howard and Judy Ann Hubbard.

Gail is survived by her son, Mickey Wayne Lanham, her brother, Rev. Ronnie Howard, her stepson, Rick Lanham (Glinda), 3 grandchildren, Levi, Mackenzie and Gracie Lanham, 2 step-grandchildren, Robby and Jason Lanham, niece, Sabrina Howard Gandy and nephews, Dennis and Toby Howard. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 319 N. Erwin St., Cartersville, GA 30120, with Kenny Jacobs and Doug Vernon officiating.
