Oscar Ituarte

It is with great sadness that the family of Oscar Ituarte, 88, of Auburn, NH announce his passing on October 4, 2025. In his last days he was surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in Treinta y Tres, Uruguay, on October 5, 1936, he was the son of Rosa Ituarte. He served 13 years in the military while living in Uruguay. He later moved to the United States in March of 1980. In 1984, he met the love of his life, Maria, through mutual friends. They started a new life together and they were happily married for 40 years.

Prior to his retirement in 2002, he worked at Kollsman & Jac-Pac for several years.

Oscar loved fishing, spending time with family & friends, traveling to Europe, Uruguay, & several locations in the United States, camping, the beach, and going to the casinos. He loved spending time outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Maria S. (Ginares) Ituarte of Auburn; one daughter, Gabriela Walder of Auburn; two grandchildren, Christopher of Ft Myers, Fl and Victoria Walder of Auburn; several nieces and nephews both here and in Uruguay.

In addition to his mother, Oscar was predeceased by his four siblings & his son-in-law, Shawn.

The family would like to thank the Manchester Fresenius Kidney Center, the entire staff of the 8th floor at Elliot Hospital, Manchester Visiting Nurses, Merrimack Community Hospice House, and all of his family and friends for the support.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Saturday, October 11th from 10 am to noon, followed by a brief service in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery.

Donations may be made in his memory to Merrimack Community Hospice House.
