Funeral Services for Oscar Palomino, 75, of Temple, will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the Kaverly Chapel at Young's Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center. The family would like to invite you at your own expense to Oscar Store for a memorial luncheon.
Mr. Oscar Palomino died on Sunday, May 7th at Scott & White Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Oscar Palomino was born on June 27, 1947 to Mr. Louis E. Palomino and Mary (Hernandez) Palomino in Temple, Texas. He attended Temple High School graduated in 1968. In 1969, he became a proud father. His career began with delivery jobs, then worked for American Desk, then hired out work for the ATSF Railway. After living in Austin, he returned to Temple and he worked for the City of Temple as a Senior Operator at the Water Treatment Plant until his retirement. His hearts' passion was raising horses and playing with his bulldogs. He met his soulmate, Ms. Mary Samarripa Galvan and united in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing billiards, and going dancing. He will be remembered for his love for tejano music and facebook recipes. He might not be with us but always remember when you think of him or share a story his favorite saying was "I understand". Mr. Palomino had a big heart and always wanted to help others
Survivors include his life partner of 21 years, Mary Samarripa Galvan; two sons, Victor Palomino and wife Lisa of Nolanville, Louis Palomino and wife Michelle of Dallas; two daughters, Renee Segovia and husband Alex of Baytown, Christina Palomino of Temple; Step children, Willie Saldaña Jr and wife Katie of Brenham, Carlos Saldana of Killeen and Michelle Saldana of Temple; two brothers, Lupe Palomino and wife Terrie of Dallas, Albert Palomino and wife Rosie of Temple; one sister, Olga Rendon and husband Raymond of Temple; along with many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Yolanda Palomino of Austin Texas.
Mr. Palomino loved red roses however, In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the funeral home in honor of Mr. Palomino to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
Visitation will be held Friday May 12th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
