Oswald A. Mundt, 97, Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Oswald was born on May 18, 1928 in the Town of Wood, Wood County to Louis and Anna (Dempze) Mundt. He graduated from Pittsville High School in 1946 and served in the United States Army from 1950-1952, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. On August 20, 1955 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Lindner at North Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

When he wasn't working around the house or watching games, he could be found in his huge garden. In his younger years he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his sons and traveling with Lorraine to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and throughout the United States.
Oswald is survived by his five children; Linda (Larry) Memmel of Vesper, Sandra (Lutz) Wohkittel of Franklin, Glenn Mundt of South Milwaukee, Karen (Dave) Heil of Grafton, and David (Vicki Stark) Mundt of Caledonia. Six grandchildren; Lisa (Scott) Thorn, Leslie (Paul) Hansen, Nicholas Wohikittel, Michael Wohkittel, Rachel Heil and Nicole (Will) Dauss. Two great-grandchildren; Jeremy and Allison Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all five siblings, and son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in the Chapel of the Chimes on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Pastor Paul White will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, service at 2:00 PM with military rites following at grave site.
