Otis Lee Elliott, 99, of Salisbury finished his earthly journey on February, 3,2025. He was born in Whitesville, DE, the son of Granville and Emma Phillips Elliott.
Otis is survived by his loving wife of 80 years, Miriam Catlin Elliott, sons, Stephen L. Elliott (Gabrielle) and Michael K. Elliott (Shirley), grandsons, Michael T. Elliott, Gregory M. Barch ( Michele), and Matthew S. Elliott, granddaughter, Laura Elliott Miriel (Victor), great-grandson Aidan Thomas Miriel, and many nieces and nephews.
Otis was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Granville James Elliott and Nelson Elijah Elliott.
Otis was a proud veteran of World War II, Serving in the Navy as H.A. 1st.Class with the Fleet Marines, 8th. Medical Battalion - 2nd. Marine Division. He also served in Okinawa and the Occupational Force in Japan, from 1943-1946.
Otis retired from Dresser Industries (formerly Wayne Pump Co.) after 46 years of service. He was an excellent artist and craftsman. When asked by family and friends to create something for them there was nothing he could not do. His "OLE's" are all over the Eastern Shore and beyond. He loved keeping a small garden and was the manpower behind the many flower gardens his wife planned.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February, 12 at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor William Warren of Allen Memorial Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mardela Memorial Cemetery in Mardela Springs, MD.
