Otto McGeorge Obituary
Mr. Otto McGeorge, age 80 of Tazewell passed away December 22, 2025, with his family by his side. Otto was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his son Lynn McGeorge parents, Joe and Gracie Paul McGeorge and his son-in-law Clayton Posey. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ora McGeorge. Together they had a host of children; Patsy Posey, Mack McGeorge and wife Christine, Joe McGeorge and his wife Kathy, Dollie Ayers and husband Tony, and daughter-in-law Sherry McGeorge. Otto is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Riggs and husband Charles and Bonnie Seals and husband Ellis. Otto is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was strong in his faith. Otto was saved on Christmas day. He later announced his calling to preach. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Saturday December 27, 2025, at 11:00am in the Shoemaker Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Beeler and Rev. Danny Sexton officiating. Music will be provided by Danny Sexton and the Little Barren Choir.
