Ouida Powell Obituary
Ouida is proceeded in death by her husband, John Powell; mother, Florence Holston; father, Arrington Holston; daughter, Cynthia Roberts; son, Robert Powell; brothers Ray and Howard Holston; and great-grandson, Nash Powell.
Those who cherish their memories of her include her daughters, Alisha Ingles (Scott) and Angela Bruce; sisters, Lucy Beckin and Lillian Holston; granddaughter Mandy Roberts; grandsons Ryan (Lindsay) and Jared Ingles, Adam (Candace) and Jonathon (Jessica) Zell, Caleb (Catherine) and Jacob Powell, Matthew (Hailey) Carlin; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ouida was born on December 12th, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a loving mother and sister and a doting grandmother. Ouida was also a devoted and faithful member of New Prospect Baptist church for over 60 years. She is dearly loved and cherished by all those who knew her.
The family would like to express gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice for their care of Ouida and ask, in leu of flowers, for donations to a special non-profit, STAR, at 1403 Metro Drive, Building F, in Alexandria, LA.
