Grovetown, GA – Owen Joseph Eickholdt, 17, entered into rest on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Owen was born in Augusta, Georgia. He was currently a senior at Community Christian Academy and was a member of Warren Baptist Church. Owen had an immense heart. He was joyful, full of life and free-spirited. He took on life with a grace that only rare individuals possess. Music was a big part of Owen’s life; he enjoyed playing bass in the Praise Band at Warren Baptist and Community Christian Academy.
Family members include his parents: Jeremy and Janet Eickholdt; sister: Emma Eickholdt and brother: Jakob Eickholdt; grandparents: Larry and Karen Jenkins and George and Karen Luckey; uncles: Todd Luckey (Anne), Jason Luckey (Sarah) and Joshua Eickholdt; aunt: Angela Bohl (Jim) and many other loving family members who will all miss Owen’s authentic spirit, friendly smile, and fun-loving personality that made the world significantly brighter.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary at Warren Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Skelton officiating. Interment will follow at Abilene Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jakob Eickholdt, Graham Howe, Cary Howe, Chris Dunford, Dale Hartenburg, John Alexander, Juice Ousley, and Caleb Burkey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Mental Wellness Center, 3203 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, prior to the service from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the church.
