Owen E. “Joe” Pollum, 90, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday morning, July 18, 2025, at the Logan Elm Health Care Center in Circleville, Ohio following a brief illness. He was born on September 26, 1934, to the late Robert Fitsimmons Pollum and Lucy Forest (Davis) Pollum in South Bloomingville, Ohio. On June 1, 1956, he was united in marriage to Ann M. (Davis) Pollum, who survives.
Also surviving are their three daughters: Laurie Pollum of Reynoldsburg, Lisa (Jeff) McGuire of Wesley Chapel, FL and Christa (Scotty) LaGard of Frankfort; six grandchildren: Sean McGuire, Audrey McGuire, Joseph McGuire, Stephanie Lauderman, Natalie Lauderman, and Jacob LaGard. Joe was preceded in death by their son, Robert Owen Pollum and all his siblings: Robert Forest (Jack), Dorothy G, and Jarold K Pollum.
After retiring from General Electric (Circleville) in 1997, Joe enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, reading books, cooking, fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Joe joined the Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the former Adelphi Lodge #527 and later the lodge merged with Logan Elm Lodge #624. He was a Master Mason for 69 years.
His family is honoring his wishes that he be cremated. Family and friends are asked to attend a graveside service that will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11 a.m., in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi. Masonic services will be conducted at the cemetery. Following the service, his urn will be buried alongside his son, Robert.
