Owen Christopher Smith, age 19, of Lee Center, passed away on November 2, 2025, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Owen was born in Rome on May 22, 2006, to Christoper Smith and Victoria Blair, and graduated from Adirondack High School. Owen was currently employed as a loader and shopping cart attendant at Lowe's in Rome.
Owen enjoyed the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, snowmobiling, or riding around in his Cadillac, he was always active and always had a smile on his face.
Owen is survived by his father, Christopher (Alicia) Smith; his mother, Victoria Catalano; his sister, Emma Catalano; his brothers, Wyatt and Terry Smith, and Colton and Michael Catalano; his girlfriend, Brooke Wright; his paternal grandmother, Tammy (Jim) Mondrick; his paternal great grandfather, Arnold (Ginger) Smith; aunts and uncles, Emily (Dakota) Costello, Alexis (Alex) Mondrick, Mallory (Tim) Mondrick, and Tracy "Trace" (Kelly) Smith; his former step-father and his family with whom he was close with, Matt (Christina) Smith, step-uncle, Corey Smith, step-grandmother, Amy (Shauon Brothers) Smith; and step-grandfather, Scott Pugh; his dog, Smokey; his cats, Skateboard and Bella; and many friends especially his special friends, Logan, Aiden, Cayden, and Dakota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 24, from 4 to 7 PM at the Lee Center Bingo Hall. A short prayer service will be held at 5 PM.
Memorial donations in Owen's name may be made to the Lee Center Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
