Pam Hoffner Obituary

Pamela "Pam" Jean Hoffner (Armstrong) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 10, 2025, in Lynnwood, Washington. She was 80.
Pam was born October 29, 1945, in Wenatchee, Washington, to Alvis and Francis Armstrong and grew up in East Wenatchee among a large, close-knit family. A bright and curious child, she excelled academically and developed a lifelong love of reading.
Pam attended Eastmont High School, where she captained the Drill Team, and continued her education at Wenatchee Valley College, graduating in 1965. She earned her bachelor's degree in Social Work and Psychology from Central Washington University in 1967. During her college years, she met her future husband, Mike Hoffner, whom she married on January 6, 1968.
Pam spent much of her career in public service with Washington State, including roles at the Department of Social and Health Services and Employment Security, where she was known for her dedication, leadership, and care for others.
Pam and Mike raised two daughters, Erika and Tiffany, and family was the center of her life. She loved gardening, puzzles, games, and hosting gatherings - always making sure no one left hungry. She was kind, intelligent, funny, and deeply selfless, and a strong advocate for her daughters to pursue their dreams.
Pam is survived by her husband, Mike Hoffner; daughters Erika Barnett (Jeff) of Edmonds and Tiffany Viall (Rick) of Chelan; and grandchildren Sarah, Evan, Hunter, and Caden.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 24, from 2:00–4:00 p.m., at the family home in East Wenatchee. For details, contact (509) 906-3577 or [email protected].

Mike,
I am sorry to read about the passing of your wife Pam. Prayers for you and your family.
Thinking back, I´m not sure if I had ever met Pam. Possibly if she attended one of our class reunions. I will try to make it to the memorial service.

I believe it was at Curves in 2002 that I met Pam...such a positive, encouraging woman with a wonderful laugh. Condolences.
