Pam Smith, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on August 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on November 20, 1955, in Brownsville, TN, she dedicated her life to her family and her work. Funeral Services for Pam will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, with Mark Yoder officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Brownsville, TN.

For 30 years, Pam served as a devoted employee at the Haywood County Junior High School Cafeteria, where she made a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike. She also served as a bus driver for the school system for many years. In her later years, she continued her professional journey with Riddle Structural Detailing, Inc., showcasing her unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Pam was a woman of many passions. She loved her family with all her heart, and her culinary skills were well known in her community, earning her the affectionate title of the "Pie Lady." Pam’s baking brought joy to many gatherings, serving as a testament to her nurturing spirit. Beyond the kitchen, she spent countless hours tending to her flower beds, growing beautiful flowers.

Pam is survived by her loving daughter, Allison Smith (Hassell), and her cherished son, Kevin Smith (Desi Lynn). She leaves behind her sisters, Annette Smith and Wanda Kelso (Larry), as well as her treasured grandchildren: Gracie Lott (Braden), Drake Sills, Belle Mochalski (Noah), Nolan Smith, Kimberlyn Smith, Addison Benard (Josh), Alyse Smith, and Weldon Smith. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Laci Lott, Parker Lott, and Bentlee & Allie Mae Benard, who will carry her love forward. Also, surviving is Candy Rowland, the nurse practitioner who took care of Pam for the last twenty years and treated her like a second mother. The family is eternally grateful for her love and care.  She was preceded in death by her parents, I.L. and Dorothy Crutchfield Glidewell, and her brother-in-law, Bubba Smith.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Yoder, Braden Lott, Mike Perry, Josh Perry, Richard Leath, Tommy Riddle and Nolan Smith.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Brownsville Community Hospital, Sugar Creek Senior Living Community and Pruitthealth Hospice for taking such good care of Pam the last couple of months.  Pam will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and her delicious pies that brought together those she cherished most. May her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The family has requested that Memorials be made to the St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
