Deborah Jane Meyer, a beloved wife, devoted sister, and cherished friend, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 18, 1959, in Memphis, TN, Deborah's life was a testament of kindness, creativity, and dedication. For nearly 30 years, Deborah excelled as the chemical shipping coordinator at Haywood Company in Brownsville, TN. Deborah had a profound appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors. She loved spending time at the beach and by the pool. Her green thumb was evidenced by her adored flower beds, where she spent countless hours tending to blooms that reflected her vibrant personality.

She was proudly involved with her church community, where her love for children flourished. Working with the children during Vacation Bible School filled her heart with joy, as she encouraged their curiosity and nurtured their spirits. Her commitment to serving others was an inspiration, and her laughter and caring nature enriched the lives of many.

Deborah was a wonderful wife to her husband, Bill Meyer, of Stanton, TN. The bond they shared was built on deep respect and affection, and her presence transformed their house into a warm and inviting home. Her talent for decorating and her ability to manage finances kept their home beautiful and running smoothly.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Bill Meyer; her sister, Diana Martin (Eddie), of Stanton, TN; and several dear nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Billy Yvonne Cheatham and Louise Landreth Cheatham.

Pallbearers for the service will be Heath Hendrix, Houston Martin, Ed Dowdy, Michael Winders, Carter Winders and T.J. Todd.

Honorary Pallbearers are Al Hughes, Gerald Whittemore, Luke Stribling, Mark Stribling, Jaylon Douglas, Josh Austin, Tony Todd and Paul Petlewski.

As we remember Deborah, let us carry forward her spirit of generosity and love. The family requests that memorials be made to the Christ Church of Brownsville, P.O. Box 1522, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
