Pamela M. Antoine
Died May 24, 2025
PESHAWBESTOWN – Pamela Marie Antoine, 52, of Peshawbestown, walked on to be with her relatives on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Munson Medical Center with her loving family at her side.
Pamela was born on September 11, 1972 at Munson Medical Center the daughter of Mary Ann (Oskaboose) Antoine and the late George Melvin Antoine.
Pamela graduated from Suttons Bay High School in 1991. During her school years, Pamela was a member of the National Vocational/Technical Honors Society. She was also in the first graduating class of the Upward Bound Program. She operated a short-term day-care center at TBA. Pamela also conducted a children's story hour in Peshawbestown.
She worked at the first Benodjehn Children's Center as an assistant teacher, and also worked for 33 years at the Leelanau Sands Casino as a Blackjack dealer & her last position at the Leelanau Sands Casino was as a player's club greeter.
"Pamela Pooh" was an outgoing, very loving & caring person with a Heart of Gold. She always had a contagious smile that could light up a room. Pamela was spontaneous, loved to dance, always ready for an adventure and loved to do A-Z crafting. She lived life to the fullest and never took life for granted. Pamela was ALWAYS a social butterfly and she never met a person who didn't become her friend or loved her.
Pamela went above and beyond for the holidays, celebrating EVERY holiday & birthday. She not only went above & beyond for holidays but also for everyone she loved. She put others before herself when they needed it most. She had a love of the paranormal, not just the TV shows but also traveled to the Michigan Paranormal convention in Sault Ste. Marie every year. Pamela loved the National Cherry Festival too, including the midway rides! She also had a mindset of "Shop Until You Drop!"
Most importantly, as a single mom with a full-time job Pamela still found a way to individually express her eternal love for each of her three children and grandkids.
Pamela is survived by her three children, Niaomi Antoine, Drake (Victoria) Teller, Emily (Romero) Teller; her mother, Mary Ann Antoine; a brother, Gregory (Valerie) Antoine; her niece and nephews, Aliyah Carew and Evan "Ray Ray" Carew, Darin and Alex Antoine; and three grandchildren, Leighana, Nimkiiode, and Waaseya Mashkawizii.
She was preceded in death by her father, George M. Antoine; and a sister, Heather D. Antoine in 2022.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31st at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st at Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay, with the family greeting friends at 12 p.m. After the celebration friends are welcome to travel to the Strongheart Center of Peshawbestown for the luncheon.
