Pamela D. Bullard of Southside passed away at peace on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Springs nursing home. She was born on February 18, 1955, to Edward (Buck) and Ruth (Hayes) Buchanan in Panama.
Pam was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church, where she loved the services and fellowship with the members. Her many disabilities kept her from being as active in life as she'd have liked, and her close friends, caretakers, neighbors, and church family provided her with a social life she loved and needed. Her grandchildren were her passion, and she lovingly cared for them. She retired from White River Health, having worked for many years as a dietary manager.
Pam loved camping and was taught outdoor skills where she learned from her dad. She served as an adult Scouter for many years with the Quapaw Area Council and White River District of the Boy Scouts of America. She was especially proud of her son (Curtis), who attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Pam loved going to BSA Summer Camp every year at Camp Rockefeller, located in Damascus, Arkansas. She served Troop 320 as a Charter Organization Representative and Troop Committee Chair for many years. She served on several Council and District Committees. She attended National Camp School, Wood Badge, and many other high-level training schools. She received the District Award of Merit from the White River District for her active and noted involvement in Scouting activities. She was the 'Mother' of Troop 320 and helped many young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and other scouts develop into productive members of society with families and children of their own.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Bullard (Deanna); her grandsons, Johnny and Lane, and her granddaughter, Lynlei; her sisters, Betty Sutton of Southside and Phyllis Harmon; and several nieces and nephews, along with her beloved cat (Lucy), who adopted Pam.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents.
Special thanks to the staff at White River Health, Amedisys Home Health, Gentiva Hospice, and The Springs Nursing Home for their kindness and care during Pam's illness and final days.
