Pamela Sue Campau, a beloved soul whose heart radiates with boundless love and kindness, passed away on July 19, 2025, at McLaren Flint.
Born on October 6, 1953, in Bay City, Michigan, Pamela lived a life full of service, laughter and love. She thrived by nurturing the spirits of those around her, which included her role as the Activities Director at Bay County Medical Care Facility for 33 years. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Pamela will be dearly missed by her surviving family, including her grade school sweetheart and beloved husband of 52 years, Michael Campau, and her daughters, Andrea (Brad) Baranowski and Erin Campau. Her grandchildren, Bryce, Brady, and Finley were a source of immense joy in her life. She also leaves behind her siblings, Paula (Dick) Clifford, Larry (Connie) Gerard, and Peggy (Brian) Hartley, a stepsister, Dawn Meredith, as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends, including her best friend group “The Great Eight”.
Throughout her life, Pamela was a giver at heart, always ensuring that everyone had what they needed. She loved spending time with her family, especially relishing the moments with her grandchildren. One of her cherished traditions was her heartfelt way of ending conversations, always expressing “I Love You.” Her love for family gatherings and gift buying during the Christmas holiday was particularly special, as she delighted in preparing for get-togethers and sharing these joyful moments with her loved ones.
Pamela enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, golfing, and over-indulging ALL the family dogs with their favorite snacks, showing her nurturing spirit extended beyond just her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne (Shelson) Meredith and Larry Gerard. As well as her stepfather Bob Meredith; in-laws Pete and Audrey Campau and Peggy and Jerry Kosecki; brother-in-law Pat Campau, and niece Harmony Archambeau.
