Pamela Mamie Deshazo, was born on November 22, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Sadie and Sidney Deshazo. She was the second oldest of seven girls and one eldest brother, Carolyn, Alberta, Dorothea, Octavia, Darlene, Marilyn and Calvin. On Saturday, July 26th, Pamela transitioned from this world to live in paradise. She accepted Christ as her savior and would attend church as often as she could. She loved traveling and attending family events to meet and greet others.
Pamela was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and had a passion for helping others. In her early years, she worked as a Health Care Provider caring for seniors. Soon after, Pamela started volunteering at Dr. Rayner Brown elementary school where her children were attending. Dr. Spriggs, the principal of the school, asked her if she would like to become employed with the school and train to become a substitute teacher. She was excited to have the opportunity and started attending Sojourner Douglass College and achieved her associate's degree in liberal arts and then attended Coppin State College to obtain her bachelor's degree in social science.
She met her long-life love Algie Alexander Lipscomb, also known as Mann in which their union produced three children. Tanisa Shawnette Lipscomb, Jawan D' Antonio Lipscomb and Derrick Jamal Lipscomb. She worked with the Baltimore City Public Schools for the next twenty years until she retired in 2008. She loved to shop and after her daughter showed her how to shop online, she placed orders every day. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting Elephant figurines. She also loved dancing and sometimes going to the Casino with her sisters and a special niece, Stephanie Cherry.
Pamela Mamie Deshazo was preceded in death by her mother, Sadie Deshazo (Keene); father, Sidney Deshazo, sister, Marilyn Deshazo, brother, Calvin Deshazo and brother-in-law, Douglass Marall Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Algie A. Lipscomb; three children, Tanisa, Jawan and Derrick; and two grandchildren, Donovan and Tatyana McFail, of whom she was very proud of; five sisters, Carolyn Patterson, Alberta, Dorothea Smith, Octavia and Darlene; three stepchildren, James, Alesia and Kelvin; six step grandchildren; Shatavia, Eric, Tyreik, Tavon, Zion and Trey; uncle, Harold Keene; aunt, Virgie Jackson; four sisters-in-law, Ola Johnson, Mattie Ewell, Bernice Lipscomb and Ophelia Lipscomb; along with a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
