Pamela Ehmke, 71, formerly of Jamestown, ND died Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale, ND.
Pam was born August 21, 1953, at Sioux City, IA the daughter of John and Raxine (Bina) Ehmke. She grew to womanhood in the area, graduating from high school in 1972. She then went to work in Longmont, CO as a nursing assistant and in childcare. She was also a teaching assistant at the Anne Carlson Center in Jamestown up until 2005.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jamestown. She had a passion for gardening; every spring she would roll up her sleeves and clear out winter leftovers to discover the perennials peaking up.
She always seemed to have an upbeat attitude and be very positive. Pam’s niece sent her a care package during covid when people were stuck at home, and she gave it to a local food bank. In years past, she enjoyed visiting folks at retirement homes, listening to their stories.
A little bit outgoing, a little bit homebody - 100% delightful.
Pam is survived by her brother, Charles and niece, Meredith Funk.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
