Pamela Kay “Pam” Looney, 78, of Perry, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025.
She was born July 21, 1947, in Osceola, Missouri, the daughter of Harry Stanley and Hazel Isabel (Aldridge) Gerster, Sr.
Pam was employed by True Green Lawn Service in Johnson County, Kansas until retiring.
Pam married James William Looney on April 3, 2009 in Oskaloosa, KS. They shared over 16 years together. He survives of Perry, KS. Other survivors include her daughter, Sherry Lee Asbell of Lawrence, KS; her sister, Debbie Pantoja and her husband, Ted, Jr. of Tonganoxie, KS; two brothers, Robert Wayne Gerster of Seymour, MO and Harry Stanley Gerster, Jr. of Eagle Rock, MO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Pam enjoyed gardening, canning and her two canine companions, Christmas and Princess. She was also an avid K.C. Chiefs fan.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A private family celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. Parker Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Topeka is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to The University of Kansas Cancer Center at St. Francis Campus, 1700 SW 7th St, Topeka, KS 66606.
