In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ermit Lee Matney; and daughter, Dana Carty.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Collins (Mia); four grandchildren, Houston Collins, SGT. Hagan Collins, Sydney Schutte (Nathan), and Andrew Carty (Rachael); 3 great grandchildren, Sophia Carty, Steven Starr, and Maliyah Starr; sister, Jan McDaniel; brother, Steven Utley (Barbara); and her dog, Zoe.
There will be no services. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
