Pamela Jean McCartney (nee Swaim), of Lorain, Ohio, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord in the early morning hours of June 25, 2025. Born on January 28, 1947, in Lorain, she lived a life marked by warmth, devotion, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.
Pam was the beloved partner of Jeff Celebrezze, with whom she shared her days in laughter, love, and simple joys from morning cups of coffee to cheering on Ohio's sports teams and relaxing rounds of golf. She was a proud and loving mother to Bruce (Patty), Kyle (Jamie), and Melanie (Alan), and a cherished grandmother to Sheldon (Audra), Alex, and Daniel, and great grandmother. Her love extended wide, as a devoted sister to Debbie Vrabel, Gail Swaim, Scott Swaim, and Cindy (Vince) Williamson, as well as a caring aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a treasured friend to many.
Pam dedicated her career to serving the community through her work with the Lorain County Board of Revision and also made her mark as a knowledgeable realtor and appraiser. She was a woman of many passions: a lover of animals, especially her dogs and cats, a gardener with a green thumb, a fan of thrift store treasures, and someone who knew the comfort of a well brewed cup of coffee.
Her faith was central to who she was. Pam openly professed her belief in Jesus Christ, and her life reflected the quiet, enduring hope that comes from walking with the Lord. Her kindness, her gentle wisdom, and her unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
"Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord." (Matthew 25:23)

To Pam´s family-I was a friend of hers from LHS, and Rainbow Girls, and Rainbow Girls Drill Team. As teens, we shared a few `adventures´ which she converted with her wry sense of humor into real stories. I live now in Utah but happened to find this and was saddened. I can see her grin so vividly-I´m sure you all know that she was remarkable in so many ways-both great and small.
