Pamela Faye Spires McCoury, affectionately known as “Meme,” entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2025, at the age of 73.
Pamela was born on October 2, 1951, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Jack Spires and Peggy Sue Godfrey Spires. She grew up in Macon and graduated from McEvoy High School.
A devoted homemaker, Pamela also dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing children. She spent over 40 years working in daycare, and for the last 23 years, she managed Children’s Best Day Care in Warner Robins. Her love, patience, and commitment left a lasting mark on the lives of countless children and families in her community.
Known for her strength, sass, and spirited personality, Pamela was also deeply generous, kind, honest, and fiercely loving. She treasured her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. To her family, she was not just “Meme,” but the heart of the home.
Pamela was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Tony Alan McCoury.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mandy McCoury (Darron Crozier); granddaughters, Lauryn Walker (William), and Ashlyn Bernhard; great-grandchildren, Liam Walker and Griffyn Walker; and brothers, Andy Spires (Pam) and Nick Spires (Donna).
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Pamela will be laid to rest privately.
