Pamela Mercer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Black-Epperson Funeral Home - Byesville on Dec. 8, 2025.
Pamela Jane (LaCroix) Mercer, 67, of Byesville, peacefully passed away Sunday (December 7, 2025) at her home after years of health issues.
She was born December 4, 1958 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Vernon LaCroix and Mildred (May) LaCroix.
Pamela attended Cambridge High School and had worked as a home health aide in the local area for many years.
She loved being a mom and was very strong-willed. She enjoyed going to beaches and being out on the water. She also enjoyed listening to country music and rock music.
Pamela was selfless and went out of her way to help people, whether she knew them or not.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Q. Todd; and a brother, Chuck LaCroix.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Jerry Mercer, whom she married December 4, 1993; her son, Eric Todd of the home; two daughters, Ashley (Wes) Hill-Mercer of Centerville and Heather Woofter of Colorado; two sisters, Juanita McClintock of Cambridge and Amy LaCroix of WV; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray, Butch and Judy, Susan and Dave, and Alice; her best friend, Sue (Jack) McElroy; and her fur babies, Mattie, Shady, and Lucy.
Visitation will be held Thursday (December 11, 2025) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.

Yesterday

Jerry,
I´m so sorry to hear about Pam. I haven´t contacted you in several years, but you are on my mind. I remember all the good times we had growing up, getting in trouble and playing. Those time are gone, but those are wonderful memories. Life happens to all of us and we have to deal with them. I´m praying for you and the family that god will help you through this difficult time.
Love you brother,
Harry
