Pamela Jo Ray Trautmann
September 8, 1965 – May 4, 2025
Pam was born on September 8, 1965, in Clarksville Missouri from the union of Polly L. Ray and Olie Wilbur Ray. She graduated from Malvern B. Clopton consolidated schools in Clarksville. Upon graduation Pam moved to California, and it was on the west coast that she devoted herself in her love of children by working in childcare. For nearly twenty years, she worked as an early childhood teacher, and she loved teaching children music. KinderCare and kinder music were her occupational passions. She loved music and imparting her love to children was something she tirelessly pursued. Later on, moving to Delaware she worked in banking for nearly twenty years.
Her love for belly dancing spanned many years and she was a well-respected member of the mid-Atlantic Belly dance community. She was also a loyal contributor to the local Renaissance festivals and was known for her beautiful dresses and stylist hats that authentically represented the medieval British period.
She loved to travel and the British isles and London were always her preferred locations to travel.
She is survived by her husband, William Trautmann, her son, Kade Reddick of Delaware, her mother Polly Ray, of Maryland, sisters Pat Conway Papierniak (Frank) of California, Kate Conway-Turner (Alvin) of Maryland, Paula Conway of Kansas, Alice Conway-Fingers (Charles) of Arizona, Valerie Lynne Ray of Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of loving friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her father Olie Wilbur Ray and her sister Charlotta Jane Conway.
The viewing will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm. DE 19805, on Wednesday, May 14 from 1:00 pm- 3:00pm. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00pm. Interment will be private.
