Pamela Strothman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bullock Funeral Home & Crematorium on Nov. 9, 2024.
Sumter, SC..Pamela (Pam) Jean Strothman (née Cordova), born May 22nd, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on November 7, 2024, in Sumter SC, at the age of 69. Pam, the second-oldest child of Edward and Estella Cordova, grew up in Provo, Utah, as one of nine children; later, three more siblings would be added to the family.
It was in Provo that Pam met her ex-husband, Art Strothman. The two would spend the early days of their relationship in Utah, where their oldest child, Camille, was born, before relocating to West Deptford, New Jersey, where she and Art would have two more children, Christina and Arthur. The couple would divorce in 1989 but remained friendly. After her divorce, Pam would stay on the East coast, spending time in New Jersey, and North and South Carolina.
Pam loved to spend time with her friends and family. When she was able, she enjoyed running around and playing in the dirt with her children and grandchildren. At one time in her life, Pam enjoyed weekends visiting Atlantic City, spending time in the casinos and walking the boardwalk; later in life she enjoyed taking family trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, and expressed a fondness of horses.
Pam was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, even to those to whom she was not related. She did everything she could to help those in need even if it meant she did without.
Left to cherish memories of Pam are her siblings Char (Kelly) Sorensen, Sabrina (Bob) Stoneman, Lisa Lopez, Monique (Fernando) Jotallan, Roxanne (Bryan) Miner, Aaron (Christina) Cordova, Michael (Bella) Cordova, Angela Cordova, and Olivia Cordova; her children Camille (Steven) Strothman, Christina (Matthew) Strothman-Evans, and Arthur (Karen) Strothman; her grandchildren Marcus (Christin) Strothman, Tavon Pearson, Mitchy (Cierra) Pearson, Alexis Strothman-Evans, Dylan Strothman-Evans, Johnny Strothman-Evans, Brock Miller, Natalie Miller, Torie Miller, Josh Strothman, Shayna Strothman, Lexi Strothman, and Bobbi Strothman; her great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Strothman, Caleb Strothman, Nathaniel Strothman, True Pearson, and Delilah Pearson; a multitude of nieces and nephews; plus her dear friend Faye.
Preceding Pam in death were her parents, Estella Cordova and Edward Cordova; her sister Corine Cordova; her brother Edward "Dino" Cordova; her best friend Jean (Jeanie) Beck; and two grandchildren.
The family will be holding a private ceremony at a later date.
