Van Wagner, Pamela Jo (Licquia) - age 77 of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Pamela was born on September 5, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the beloved daughter of the late James and Lois (Sovine) Garant.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. The funeral will also be live streamed and can be viewed via the linked posted below this obituary. Pastor Eric Stewart will officiate and burial will follow the funeral at Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop, Michigan. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2025 and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pamela to the Hyde Park Memory Care (3100 Wyndham Drive, Flushing, Michigan 48433).

Pamela's early years were rooted in Flint, where she graduated from St. Michael's School. She later earned an Associate's Degree from the University of Michigan - Flint, a testament to her dedication to learning and personal growth. Her professional life was marked by over three decades of service in the circulation department at the Flint Journal, where she built lasting connections and contributed meaningfully to her community.

On February 18, 1995, Pamela married Daniel Lee Van Wagner. Their union was one of deep companionship and mutual devotion that spanned more than 30 years. Together they shared a love for travel that took them across many states and countries. Among their most cherished memories was a special church pilgrimage to the Vatican, where Pamela had the unforgettable experience of see the Pope - an event that reflected both her adventurous spirit and her unwavering Catholic faith.

Pamela's spiritual life was central to who she was. A devout Catholic from an early age, she began her journey to St. Matthew's Church in Flint before becoming a dedicated member of Holy Redeemer Church in Burton. She actively participated in numerous church groups at both parishes, offering her time and energy in service to others - a reflection of her deeply caring nature.

In addition to her church involvement, Pamela found strength and purpose through Al-Anon fellowship beginning in 1984. Her commitment to this community remained strong until July 2020 when she developed dementia. For the last four and a half years of her life, she resided at Hyde Park Nursing Facility, where she received compassionate care until her passing.

Pamela is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Lee Van Wagner; daughter, Tammy Licquia; son, Douglas Licquia; grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Todd, Heather, Samara, Emily and Kyle; sister, Debra; brother, David; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James and Tony.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Pamela's Al-Anon family for their enduring support throughout the years. Special thanks are also given tot he staff at Hyde Park Nursing Facility for the attentive care during Pamela's final years. The family is especially grateful to Paige from the Hospice Care Team for providing four years of dedicated nursing care with compassion and grace.

Pamela will be remembered for her faith-filled life, generous heart and enduring commitment to helping others. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
