Thomas Van Wagner Obituary Thomas J. Van Wagner, age 86, passed away on January 23, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Thomas was born October 30, 1938, in Shelby to the late Victor and June (Dull) Van Wagner, he had been a long time Shelby resident. He had been employed with AMF and AutoCall. Then, he worked at Anthony Lee Screen Printing as a silk screener before retiring in 2002. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Eagles, Moose and Owls.
He liked to play jigsaw puzzles and games on his iPad and eat Mexican food. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his wife, Kay. They especially liked visiting Amish country. There was a time they flew to Arizona to visit his mother. While in Arizona, they went to Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. Also, they went to Walt Disney World a couple of times. Thomas will be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his two step-daughters, Cathy White of Hilliard, Ohio and Carol (Andy) Lambert of Lancaster, Ohio; his one granddaughter, Sarah Piper; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Maddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay C. Van Wagner on August 9, 2015.
Per request of Thomas, no services will be observed.
