Panagiotis (Takis) Manolopolos, age 75, passed away Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. Celebration of Life Service, 3 pm, Sunday, March 9, at River Church, 1100 E. Grand Ave., Haysville, KS. He was born September 26, 1949 in Patras, Greece, son of the late Maria and George Manolopoulos. Takis is also preceded in death by his sister, Kiriaki Manolopoulos. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Connie (Volz) Manolopoulos, his family that still lives in Greece, including two sisters, Tula Georgiou (husband Nikos), and Chrisula Tsimogianni, as well as three nieces, one nephew, and five great nephews and nieces. Takis was raised and educated in Patras, and did his mandatory two year service in the Greek army. He then went on to serve with the Greek merchant marines aboard cruise ships and freighters, eventually attaining the rank of Chief Navigational Officer (retired). His interests included collecting ‘the biggest American cars,” and caps of all kinds. His gregarious, fun-loving nature will be missed by friends and family. Share condolences at www.cozine.com.
