BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Pascual Espinoza, age 94, of Brownsville, Texas, has continued his journey to be with Our Lord and passed peacefully in his home surrounded by love, calm and prayers, on Wednesday, the 1st of October 2025.

Born on March 28, 1931, in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico to the late Bernardo Espinoza and Victoria Hernandez, he lived his early life alongside his two brothers and one sister. In his teenage years, he set out on his quest to live a life in the United States with the promise and hope of opportunity for both he and his generations of family to come. He met the love of his life, Juanita Buitron, with whom he enjoyed 70 years of marriage where they raised two sons, Ricardo and Roberto. He was truly a trailblazer that embodied a sense of steady calm in the eye of any storm that gave his loved one's security when there was uncertainty. When there was not a way, he found a way. He was the quiet rock on which his family garnered strength to carry on his spirit in foraging a new path for the better.

Preceding Pascual in death are his parents, Bernardo Espinoza and Victoria Hernandez, and his siblings, Esperanza Espinoza Hernandez, Ramon Espinoza Hernandez, and Patricio Espinoza Hernandez.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved and devoted wife, Juanita Espinoza; his sons, Ricardo Espinoza (Maggie) and Roberto Espinoza (Dora), nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, along with many others whose lives were touched by his kindness and gentle spirit.

Pascual worked diligently and reliably in the grocery business for multiple grocery stores for well over 40 years to provide for his family with all he had to offer. His two sons will always cherish the memories of the quality time spent with their father as they went fishing on Pascual's few days off along Boca Chica and nearby resacas. His sons have carried on Pascual's steadfast love that they have bestowed onto their children and grandchildren. Pascual always enjoyed Sundays watching the Dallas Cowboys and baseball. Later in life, Pascual found joy in seeing his children's children as they played in his living room and in his backyard as he smiled and laughed while they stumbled around him.

Though we mourn Pascual's earthly absence, we find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the reunion in God's presence as he returns Home to Our Heavenly Father. May we cherish all that Pascual bestowed upon us so that we may be able to carry on the loving qualities that he embodied - in doing so, he will never truly be gone as those traits uniquely Pascual will live on forever in those that loved him. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

May Pascual rest in the everlasting arms of The Lord.
