Pat Consul Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Funeral Center on Mar. 18, 2025.
Pat Consul 1929 - 2025
Pat Consul was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa. His life goal was to provide for his family. He was a first generation American and part of a large Italian family - the youngest of seven children. Family was the most important thing to Pat. As a young man, he joined the Army where he played the saxophone, clarinet, and bagpipes. He worked in the printing industry for over 60 years, first as a Graphic Artist / Typesetter; then as a pressman for his own company; and finally as a salesman for Dakota Press for 20 years. Pat took a second job as a Graphic Arts instructor at Laney College in Oakland. His hobbies included gardening and computers. Over the years, he learned and mastered may programs and applications. His favorites were PhotoShop and Photo to Movie. He created many family videos from parties and vacations - adding music to the photos to tell the story - increasing his knowledge of the applications with each new creation. He also created greeting cards for every occasion. Pat was a wonderful neighbor, often helping others with weekend projects. After working hard for 67 years, he retired to care for his wife at 82. He loved all celebrations - especially family parties. Barbecues were common and his favorite type of gathering.
Pat will be missed by his family and lifelong friends and neighbors. He was caring, supportive, and loved by all who knew him.
The visitation will be held Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Funeral Center in Lafayette, CA on Tuesday, March 25 5pm- 7pm and his Mass will be held at Christ the King on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:30am. Commital will be private.
In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

My name is Ron Garcia, I had the pleasure to know Pat when I worked at Dakota Press. I also would see him at Christ the King occasionally and we would always talk. I heard of his passing today at Church because it is All Souls Day and I heard his name mentioned.
He is a person who you never forget.

Sincerely
Ron
