Isabelle Consul was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life goal was to make a happy home for her family. As a young child she traveled the world with her father, who was in the Navy for over thirty years, and her mother and siblings. As a young woman she worked as a key punch operator at a railroad, and later in retail. She was a devout Catholic and taught CCD and volunteered at various events. She was a Eucharistic Minister to the Sick (bringing Holy Communion to people who are unable to attend Mass). She loved to read, and enjoyed reading to her children and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor, and loved April Fools pranks. She was a wonderful neighbor and loved coffee chats with the other wives and mothers, and supported them when needed. She looked forward to special summer weeks with her grandchildren, taking them to theme parks and ensuring they had fun visits.
She will be missed by her family, life long friends and neighbors. She was caring, kind, supportive and very loved by all who knew her. A viewing/rosary will be held on Friday December 13, 2024 from 11-2 at Queen of Heaven chapel. A Memorial Mass will be held on a Friday, January 17 at Christ the King at 10:30am with a committal to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Funeral Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Catholic Charities of the East Bay.
