Pat Cunningham

Patricia Jane Allen Cunningham, age 96, of Oklahoma City, traveled home peacefully to her Lord and Savior on March 4, 2026. Pat was born in 1929, in Dallas, Texas, the fourth daughter of Leonard Edward and Marth Sparks Allen. Pat was married to the love of her life, Joe Cunningham, for over 57 years until his passing in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Burnap (and husband Jim) and Jacquelyn McMillan (and husband Edward).

The Cunningham family lived in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi before returning to Oklahoma in 1972, where Pat and Joe became "full-fledged Okies" forever after. Pats' life was defined by her devotion to others. She worked in the city for 25 years for many fine organizations and was instrumental in organizing start-up chapters for the American Businesswomen's Association. Though she was a faithful friend and a loyal church worker, her primary goal in life was the one that mattered most to her: being a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her three children: her son Dennis and wife Cindy; her son Christopher and wife Shearon; and her daughter Melissa Joan, her precious "baby girl" who grew into her closest confidant and encourager.

Pat's legacy lives on through her sister, Joan Day; her grandchildren, Christopher Robin (Eva) Cunningham, Adam Cunningham and Cindy's children, David and Giselle. She is also survived by her niece Patty Harvey and her sons David (Alicia) and Dwight (Michelle); her niece Sharon Farmer (Bill) and sons Aaron and Andy; her niece Diane and daughter Amy; as well as a host of beloved church family and dear friends.
