Patsy Ann Pruitte Ginn, age 84 of Cherryville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1939, in Gaston County to the late Joseph Lawrence and Edith Inez Anthony Pruitte. Pat was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church where she served on numerous committees and was a member of the Wesleyan Women, the Golden Oldies, and Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also an active member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #100 and the Red Hat Society of Shelby. Pat retired from banking where she was a former teller with BB&T and Northwestern Bank. She was also previously self-employed with Crafts and Gifts of Granite Falls. After retirement, she continued to spread joy to others in her employment at Homefolks Café. Pat had a contagious smile and love for people.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her previous husband, Baxter Baird; stepson, Joey Ginn; and her sisters, Jane Hancock and Brenda Harbinson.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Daniel “Dan” Ginn, Sr. of Cherryville; daughter, Donna Moses Watson of Granite Falls; grandson, Ashley Reid and wife, Carrie of Hickory; great grandchildren, Lillian Reid and Ella Reid; granddaughter, Kerri Guerra and husband Roderick of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Dominick Corrales and wife, Gabby, and Kayley Guerra; great-great-grandson, James Corrales; sister, Carolyn Hanlin and husband, Kenneth; “children by another mother” and extra granddaughter, Sandra Lail Moss and husband, Tim, Janet Lail Long and husband, Andy, Thomas Lail, and Leigh Long; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mark B. Poe officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to First Wesleyan “Church Debt Reduction Fund” or “Outreach Ministry/Food Pantry”, 800 N. Pink St. Cherryville, NC 28021.
