Passed away on March 2, 2026. Born in Virginia, Minnesota, to Leonard and Margaret Roskoski, she attended Marquette Catholic School, graduated from Roosevelt High School, and went on to attend Mesabi Community College.
Pat spent her entire career with the Social Security Administration, a job she was proud to do for her entire working life. She married her best friend, Jon Larson, on June 30, 1990, and they shared 21 wonderful years together. Beyond work, Pat cherished historic vacation trips with her sisters, tended her gardens, and found joy in knitting and crafting. She had a gift for celebrating the seasons — transforming her home with festive decorations and coordinating her outfits for every holiday. She was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, a passion she and Jon shared, and a devoted supporter of UMD women's hockey. Her beagles were dear to her heart, and her infectious giggle had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Above all, she treasured time with her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her siblings, Rose Marie (Jim) Evans, Peggy (Harv) Hellyer, Jane (Chuck) Spaulding, Lenny (Jan) Roskoski, Chuck (Carol) Roskoski, Mike (Linda) Roskoski; and sister-in-law, Arlette (Johnson) Roskoski; her step-children, Dean (Angie) Larson and Cyndi (Sean) Stamps; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Logan, Peyton, and Annabelle; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Margaret Roskoski; sister, Betty Burge; brother, Joe Roskoski; and husbands, Jerry Burke and Jon Larson.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 10, at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second Street, Duluth, MN 55805. Visitation 10:00 a.m., Service 11:00 a.m., luncheon to follow. Pat will be laid to rest alongside Jon at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to UMD Women's Hockey https://makingagift.umn.edu/give/fund.html?id=1505502016269, the Virginia Community Foundation https://www.communitygiving.org/, or Marquette Catholic School in Virginia, Minnesota https://www.marquettecatholicschool.com/donate.
