Patience E. Metsker passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Swedish Hospital, in Seattle, Washington. She was born on June 2, 1941, in Ellensburg, Washington, to Virgil and Belle Beith. Patience endured a lot of bodily pain during her 82 years, and now she has gone to a better place, where she is pain free.
Patience graduated from AC Davis High School and Yakima Valley College.
On May 12, 1963, she married Chuck Metsker, at the Englewood Christian Church, in Yakima, Washington. She was a wonderful wife, soulmate, and best friend to her husband, Chuck, for over 60 years.
Patience operated a daycare center for a few years before she became a full-time housewife and homemaker. Patience had a kind heart and was always lending a listening ear to those people in need of comfort. Patience was a hardworker, which showed in her passion for gardening, and her interior decorating of her home. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her apple pie was out of this world.
Patience is survived by her husband, Chuck Metsker, daughter, Cami Metsker, son, Dustin (Caryn) Metsker, grandchildren, Cristian Robert, Avery Metsker, Chase and Kayden Engles, sister, Candy Davis (Gerry), their sons, Blake and Tad Davis, stepbrother, Doug (Debbie) Krueger, and family. Patience will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Per Patience's wishes, there was no service. She is buried at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.brooksidefuneral.com.
